”View from the Tower”
RAFBHA’s primary goals include the preservation, protection and promotion of items of historical significane to Ramey AFB/Borinquen Field.
The assocation’s quarterly newsletter, the “View,” is an important communications tool drawing together those who served at the famous base, including service members, family, educators and workers. Written memories, pictures, physical artifacts and donations are vital to keep the newsletter pertinent to our cause. This website table is intended to stimulate discussion of subjects of interest and importance.
So tell me (Chris Talkington, the Publisher), what’s on your mind about Ramey today, or its future?

An update of Ramey… The government submitted a request to convert Ramey as a Foreign Trading Zone ( FTZ) . If approved, Ramey will be the first airport in Puerto Rico with such designation. The government policy is to develop and position Ramey as a world-class cargo hub in the caribbean.

The Board will soon decide about on-line posting of past “Views.” They’re popular and certain to be a hit, but we can’t “give away” the candy store by posting too early. The next ”View” will be published ASAP after Albuquerque’s April 17-21 reunion. We want photos of the exciting get-together, so I think mailing by April April 27th.
